Lots of cars are practical, but Volkswagen wants to prove that its Tigan can be the perfect car for dog owners. The brand brought a Tiguan full of dog-themed accessories to Wags, Wheels, and Waffles, a California charity event to help rescue dogs find new homes.
The event, held in Culver City, included made-to-order waffles and rescue dogs from Maeday Rescue and A Purposeful Rescue.
The Tiguan featured a pop-up 17.7 cubic foot roof rack, perfect for carrying pet supplies—but not pets, as Mitt Romney will tell you—a Kurgo Tru-Fit harness for dogs, and a kibble carrier that dogs can eat from on while they ride. Little dogs can also easily jump into their seats thanks to a WeatherTech PetSTEP.
A heavy duty trunk liner with seat back coverage, wind deflectors, mounts for tablets, and a set of 19-inch Victoria Falls rims round out this Tiguan’s features.
All of the accessories are available at VW Genuine Accessories from parts.vw.com or at their respective manufacturers’ websites.
