Then, after you’ve driven your 1,500 hp, 8.0L W16-powered Chiron for about 1,300 miles, put it up for sale. You know, lightly used, all original, only driven to 261 mph on Sundays. Then you’ll make bank.

That’s what the owner of this Chiron has done. It’s the first used Chiron to be offered up for sale in the UK, and it’s expected to give the owner a nearly $1.3 million profit. After just four months of ownership. And it could deliver even more. That’s because it hasn’t actually sold yet.

Sure, prospective Chiron owners could still get on the list for a brand new one, but there’s currently a three or four year wait list. Pick up this one, and you could be Chir-unning around your neighbourhood tomorrow.

The first Chiron for sale in the UK is at dealer Romans International, sitting alongside such pedestrian motors as a 2007 Veyron, 2005 Porsche Carrera GT, and an Aston Martin Vantage GT8.

Event Report: Southern Worthersee 2015

There’s been much ado about this year’s SoWo since this past Saturday night, when Instagram, Facebook and other Social Media channels exploded with images and commentary focusing on the event’s bad eggs. But first, let’s chat a bit about the event itself. Our journey started early Thursday morning as part of the Orchid Euro/Coolwater cruise to the event. What should have taken about 12-13 hours ended up taking much more, as we stopped to help any Volkswagen that needed our assistance. And while the extended commute time wasn’t ideal, it proved to highlight the ‘no person left behind’ spirit of the Volkswagen community- arguably one of the scene’s best qualities.
