Where to Watch the 2017 Baja 1000 Live

The 50th running of the Baja 1000 takes place this week and you can follow along live in many different ways.

The most direct way to follow the action is the official live stream from SCORE, the governing body that runs the Baja 1000. It is embedded at the top of this post for your viewing pleasure, or you can view it on their website. SCORE also has tons of information about the race on its website, such as course notes, a full list of registered drivers and more.

For those who want to track a specific team or racer, Trackleaders is hosting a coverage map which pinpoints exactly where each vehicle is and what speed they are traveling at. This coverage map also offers a replay function, handy for revisiting different happenings during the race. You can find that map right here.

You can also follow along with PCIRadios Weatherman north stream and south stream. A radio relay team on Diablo Mountain provides coverage for the north end of Baja, while an airplane provides radio relay in the south. Because it is a plane that needs to refuel and is weather dependent, radio relay in the south can be intermittent.

Social media is also a great option for following individual race teams and drivers. First of all, the folks at the Fishgistics Facebook page do a great job of keeping everyone informed. Our very own Off-Road.com twitter feed, which we will keep up to date with Baja 1000 live updates throughout the race.

Then there are all the individual racers you should be following on social media. Here’s a quick list of racers who will likely be posting all kinds of Baja-tastic photos on Instagram that you should be following.

PZM 73rd Rally Poland Kicks Off

The WRC is in Poland and after only one stage there are three Volkswagens in the top five. Today’s special stage at the Mikolajki Arena is the first stage, but the rally doesn’t begin in earnest until Friday. Today’s super special stage was less than two minutes long, and less than a second separates the top five drivers. Hyundai Motorsport’s Thierry Neuville tops the charts today, followed closely by Volkswagen’s Andreas Mikkelsen. Sebastien Ogier and Jari-Matti Latvala are in fourth and fifth, respectively. Expect Ogier to climb the rankings, though. Not only did he win the rally last year, he has won every year since 2013.
