Matthias Müller Joins Volkswagen Group Board of Management

Wolfsburg, February 27, 2015 – At its meeting today, the Supervisory Board of Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft appointed Matthias Müller (61) as a member of the Board of Management with functional responsibility as “Chairman of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG”. Müller will serve in this Group capacity in addition to his responsibilities as President and CEO of Porsche AG. Müller trained as a toolmaker and also holds a degree in computer science. He began his career at AUDI AG in 1971, initially studying IT and subsequently holding management posts in system analysis at Audi. Müller headed product management for the Audi A3 from 1993, before taking charge of coordinating the planning of all of the brand’s product lines. From 2003 Müller assumed responsibility for coordinating the sports brands unit in the Volkswagen Group.
