The awards keep coming for Volkswagen’s SUV. Auto Bild, Europe’s largest magazine for off-roading vehicles has named the 2016 Tiguan their “All-wheel Car of the Year,” in the vehicles under 30,000 Euro category.
This is the fifth time since the Tiguan’s launch in 2007 that it has won the coveted title. In that same period of time Volkswagen has sold 2.8 million Tiguans around the world.
The 2016 European model has a fresh look as well as a number of new goodies that have seen wide acclaim. Only this week, we reported that the Tiguan won the Auto Zeitung Design Trophy 2016.
Back in the land of the free, we still have to wait until 2017 for the updated Tiguan, but when it comes rumors suggest that it will have a longer wheel base, thanks to the MQB platform.
