Volkswagen’s car camouflage department must be having fun, because here’s another series of photos of a VW test car disguised as a different car. Today’s test car is the first mule for the upcoming Polo based SUV, sources tell us.
A small crossover has been rumored for a long time now and this car fits the bill. Volkswagen has been disguising its next generation Polo mules as 3-door Golfs, such as the one pictured above. This particular test car, however, rides much higher than any other test mule our photographers have come across.
Volkswagen already previewed a small crossover concept at Geneva called the T-Cross Breeze. The production version will get 4 doors (and a roof) when it, reportedly, hits dealerships in 2018.
Our information suggests that the next generation Polo will be built on the MQB platform, just like the Golf, which could mean that the new Polo based SUV will get four-wheel-drive.
