We’ve been told for quite some time that Volkswagen is putting a lot of faith in their next generation Tiguan. We’ve also known that it will come in multiple lengths, offering three rows of seating in the largest version, and that it will be built atop Volkswagen’s MQB platform. And while this information is great, we hadn’t seen any images of the new Tiguan actually undergoing tests until this morning. Published over on WorldCarFans, the photo set shows a pair of short-wheelbase Tiguans testing on public roads near the Alps in heavy camouflage.
From the relatively little that can be seen in the images, this new Tiguan looks much like a smaller Touareg- and that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. We expect to see more of the next-gen Tiguan as we get closer to the rumored end of year reveal.
