America might get one more pickup in the form of Volkswagen’s Amarok.
That’s according to the CEO of the Volkswagen Group of America, Hinrich Woebcken, who told Road & Track that a US version will be considered when the platform is replaced in the next year or two.
VGoA revealed this week that it will be aggressively pursuing a bigger place in the US market, with the help of more new vehicles updated with more frequency.
The pickup market is one of America’s core markets in which the brand is hoping to compete, according to VGoA’s VP of product marketing, Hendrick Muth. And with ascension of the Chevrolet Colorado and Ford Ranger, the market for small pickups is growing.
