Volkswagen is giving a preview of what we can expect in 2018 and it includes new crossovers, new electrics, a return to a famous race, and a confirmation of the T-Cross.
The big production news is the arrival of the new T-Cross. The subcompact SUV will start production this year. It’s the little brother of the T-Roc and we got a look at it with the T-Cross Breeze concept at Geneva earlier last year.
The new Jetta is also on the way, the announcement says production will start in 2018.
The short video is full of 2018 product and surprises. There’s a 115 hp up! GTI, but also confirmation of a new Touareg, based on the T-Prime concept.
Last for new models is a new member of the I.D. family. The fourth model will sit beside the I.D., Cross, and Buzz.
Then Volkswagen is coming back to the Pike’s Peak hill climb. Instead of the twin-engine Golf they brought the first time, there will be an electric racer headed to the clouds.
Watch the clip for a good look at what to expect from VW this year.
