If you thought the Porsche 911 GT3 RS couldn’t get any more hardcore, think again.
Just a few weeks after debuting at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS has introduced its Weissach Package at the 2018 New York Auto Show. Offered for the first time on the 911 GT3 RS, the Weissach Package outfits the sports car with several carbon fiber componentsincluding the hood, roof, wing, and trunk lid. The cost? The package costs a cool $18,000 and that’s without the optional forged magnesium wheels that run another $13,000.
Adding the Weissach Package and the magnesium wheels bring the weight of the GT3 RS down to 3,153 pounds. The carbon fiber pieces and the titanium bolt-in roll cage inside the cabin drop 13.5 lbs, while the wheels are another 25 lbs lighter compared to the standard aluminum wheels.
As a touch to signify the 911 GT3 RS features the Weissach Package, the logo can be found on the headrests and on the cupholder cover.
Unfortunately, Porsche didn’t reveal any performance numbers for the Weissach Package.
