The German Federal Motor Transportation Authority (KBA) has approved fixes 2.0L diesel TDI powered Tiguans and Caddys (from the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles line). The recalls will begin soon, affect around 1.1 vehicles, and as always are free.
With this, the KBA has approved the fix for more than 2.5 million vehicles. German owners will be sent letters in the mail and will have access to trained service staff to answer any remaining questions.
Recalls so far have happened for Golfs and Jettas as well as some cars from the Audi and SEAT brands. The A4, A5, A6, and Q5 vehicles with the EA 189 2.0L TDI engines and the SEAT Exeo with same are also being recalled.
As ever, customers are being assured that they will see no change in fuel consumption or performance.
