Watch: Audi’s Latest Ad Involves More Flying Knees than Ong Bak (And More Laughs, Too)

Audi’s been on a roll with its cinematic ads. 2016’s ticket-fight in reverse was a winner and the brand’s latest spot for the A8 also features some equally impressive choreography.

The ad starts on a rooftop in (we presume) Thailand where our three heroes are tied to a bamboo shoot, about to be pushed off the roof. After breaking free, all hell similarly breaks loose and we’re treated to some solid Ong Bak-style Muay Thai.

The protagonist, though, quickly finds himself face to face with a brick excrement house of a man and has to run away. He finds a quiet place in an A8, which promptly offers him a foot massage and some soothing music, to boot.

The ad is equal parts impressive and funny, and works much better as an extended ad than it does as a short ad (which you may have seen on YouTube).

PZM 73rd Rally Poland Kicks Off

The WRC is in Poland and after only one stage there are three Volkswagens in the top five. Today’s special stage at the Mikolajki Arena is the first stage, but the rally doesn’t begin in earnest until Friday. Today’s super special stage was less than two minutes long, and less than a second separates the top five drivers. Hyundai Motorsport’s Thierry Neuville tops the charts today, followed closely by Volkswagen’s Andreas Mikkelsen. Sebastien Ogier and Jari-Matti Latvala are in fourth and fifth, respectively. Expect Ogier to climb the rankings, though. Not only did he win the rally last year, he has won every year since 2013.
