Facelifted Euro Passat Caught Testing Under Cammo

Europe keeps jumping ahead of us and already their Passat is getting a facelift.

Seen here under cammo, there’s little to confirm, but the shape is, at least, familiar. Still the handsome, classically proportioned sedan we know and love, it does seem like an Arteon-esque front grille is hiding under the camouflage.

This one, with its hybrid rims may be the new Passat GTE.

Round back, the cammo appears to be hiding reworked bumpers and updated LEDs.

Unfortunately, we’re still waiting on pictures of the updated American Passat. Expected to go join this model on the MQB platform, it is expected some time soon.

The updated European model (pictured) is expected to go on sale next year.

2018 Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster Review

PZM 73rd Rally Poland Kicks Off

The WRC is in Poland and after only one stage there are three Volkswagens in the top five. Today’s special stage at the Mikolajki Arena is the first stage, but the rally doesn’t begin in earnest until Friday. Today’s super special stage was less than two minutes long, and less than a second separates the top five drivers. Hyundai Motorsport’s Thierry Neuville tops the charts today, followed closely by Volkswagen’s Andreas Mikkelsen. Sebastien Ogier and Jari-Matti Latvala are in fourth and fifth, respectively. Expect Ogier to climb the rankings, though. Not only did he win the rally last year, he has won every year since 2013.
