A8 Gets Pre-Premiere Feature in Spider-Man: Homecoming

Before the new Audi A8 makes its official debut on July 11, it will be featured in the latest Spider-Man film.

“Spider-Man: Homecoming’ is set to hit theaters worldwide in July, but it will premiere in LA on June 28, so fans of Peter Parker will get to see the car before fans of Audi do. The film will be a delight for fans of both, though.

The car will specifically be an A8 L, in which Parker (played by Tom Holland) is chauffeured by Happy Hogan (played by Jon Favreau). Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe may recognize Hogan as Iron Man’s chauffeur.

The Spider-Man scene is set to show off the A8’s party tricks, too, as Hogan turns around in his seat to face Parker in the back and the car keeps going on without his intervention. The scene shows off Audi’s traffic jam pilot, which will be the first road-legal example of level 3 automation.

But that won’t be the only Audi in the movie. Tony Stark is apparently set to appear in, what else, an R8, while Parker spends his driving time behind the wheel of a TTS Roadster.

PZM 73rd Rally Poland Kicks Off

The WRC is in Poland and after only one stage there are three Volkswagens in the top five. Today’s special stage at the Mikolajki Arena is the first stage, but the rally doesn’t begin in earnest until Friday. Today’s super special stage was less than two minutes long, and less than a second separates the top five drivers. Hyundai Motorsport’s Thierry Neuville tops the charts today, followed closely by Volkswagen’s Andreas Mikkelsen. Sebastien Ogier and Jari-Matti Latvala are in fourth and fifth, respectively.
