The Grand Tour Reminds us James May is Still Alive

Compared to his colleagues, The Grand Tour‘s James May had relatively uneventful offseason.

The second season of The Grand Tour is set to premiere on December 8 on Amazon Prime Video, and if you’ve been following the news, you’ll know that Jeremy Clarkson and Richard Hammond had quite the adventures while shooting. Hammond has now famously crashed the Rimac Concept One in Switzerland, while Clarkson battled pneumonia that very nearly killed him. May on the other hand? Well, he managed to stay out of the spotlight, which seems fitting for Captain Slow.

A new video released by The Grand Tour takes a look at how May enjoyed his free time while Clarkson and Hammond were hospitalized. And in typical fashion that we’ve grown accustomed to over the years from the three hosts, things aren’t what they appear to be for Mr. James May.

I’ve never really been one for SUVs and crossovers. The current offerings aren’t the body-on-frame, go-anywhere specialty tools I remember from my youth, and what they lack in capability, they also lack in on-road performance.
