Heir to the ABT tuning fortune, Daniel Abt is no stranger to electric vehicles. As one half of the team that put Audi on top of the manufacturer’s championship in last year’s Formula E series, he’s well acquainted with EVs’ instant torque.
Even he seems pleased, though, to see Schaeffler’s electric touring car concept, the stupidly named 4ePerformance, beat two of the Volkswagen empire’s biggest names in a drag race.
The races are a lesson in what you can accomplish if you stick four Formula E motors into an A3 to make 1,200 hp.
Honestly, given the ridiculousness of the 4ePerformance, it’s almost more surprising that the 911 GT2 RS can keep up with it. Well, almost keep up.
