With just a few days left before the opening of this year’s Geneva Motor Show, a countdown has appeared on Bugatti’s website, counting down to the moment when the manufacturer “breaks new dimensions.” This, of course, refers to when the brand will introduce it’s successor to the highly successful (they did sell each and every one made) Veyron, the Chiron. Said to be producing somewhere near 1500 horsepower and more than 1000 ft-lbs of torque, this hypercar is destined to break records in both speed and retail price.
The latest gossip tells us that the model will come in both coupe and targa variants, and will be produced at a rate of about 100 per year. Starting somewhere north of $2 million, the Chiron, like the Veyron before it, will be reserved for the most affluent among us. We should all be so lucky.
