British Readers: Do You Want to Buy Jeremy Clarkson’s GTI?

The GTI is an undeniably good car. So good that even millionaire stars of automotive-themed TV shows buy them. And now’s your chance to buy one of theirs.

Perhaps the most notorious automotive figure… … … in the world. Jeremy Clarkson is selling his 2015 Golf GTI and now’s your chance to buy it for £21,500 ($28,335), which according to our research is pretty much right, if a bit dear. Other GTIs with DSG and four doors can be found for a little less than £20,000, but none have quite this provenance.

This one comes with the POWEEEEEEEER pack, though, so it may be worth the premium. Clarkson is uncharacteristically laconic about his car, here, sharing little else. But you can find out how he feels about GTIs generally in his Sunday Times review.

PZM 73rd Rally Poland Kicks Off

The WRC is in Poland and after only one stage there are three Volkswagens in the top five. Today’s special stage at the Mikolajki Arena is the first stage, but the rally doesn’t begin in earnest until Friday. Today’s super special stage was less than two minutes long, and less than a second separates the top five drivers. Hyundai Motorsport’s Thierry Neuville tops the charts today, followed closely by Volkswagen’s Andreas Mikkelsen. Sebastien Ogier and Jari-Matti Latvala are in fourth and fifth, respectively. Expect Ogier to climb the rankings, though. Not only did he win the rally last year, he has won every year since 2013.
