Golf Alltrack One of Canada’s Best New Cars of the Year

The Automobile Journalists Association of Canada today announced the results of its annual “Best New” car of the year awards. The association picked winners in eight classes and the Golf Alltrack won the “Best New Large Car” category.

The Alltrack beat out the Chevrolet Malibu and Kia Optima and more to earn its title, and will now go up against the winners of the other seven categories to determine which is the best new car of the year. The results will be announced at the Canadian International Auto Show in February.

The Golf Alltrack got the highest score in its category for exterior styling, and throttle, engine, and transmission performance.

When it goes for the title of best car of the year, the Alltrack will compete against the winners of categories such as “Best New Premium Sports/Performance Car (BMW M2), Best New Small Utility (Subaru Forester), and Best New Small Car (Hyundai Elantra).
