Modded Euros Introduces Mk7 GTI Project Car

The team over at Modded Euros have been busy this winter and just rolled out their first video in a series about their Project MK7 GTI. This multi part video series takes their bone stock 2015 GTI from a daily driver and turns it into a street tuned hatch that lays down some serious power gains on the dyno.

In the first video of the series, they highlight the installation of a carbon fiber intake and a stage 1+ tune via the new UniConnect+ device which allows anyone to flash their ECU and/or DSG transmission with Unitronic software right from the comfort of their home.

They then finish of this part of their build by putting the car on a set of Neuspeed Sport springs and sit the car on a set of Avant Garde M510 wheels.

PZM 73rd Rally Poland Kicks Off

The WRC is in Poland and after only one stage there are three Volkswagens in the top five. Today’s special stage at the Mikolajki Arena is the first stage, but the rally doesn’t begin in earnest until Friday. Today’s super special stage was less than two minutes long, and less than a second separates the top five drivers. Hyundai Motorsport’s Thierry Neuville tops the charts today, followed closely by Volkswagen’s Andreas Mikkelsen. Sebastien Ogier and Jari-Matti Latvala are in fourth and fifth, respectively. Expect Ogier to climb the rankings, though. Not only did he win the rally last year, he has won every year since 2013.
