New photos of the Touareg testing have been released, but this time there are pictures of two different cars. The first has a fair amount of camo on the front and back, whereas the second only has the dazzle camouflage, so it gives us a pretty good idea of what the shape will be.
Last time out, our spy photographers reported that this Touareg is a little shorter than the current one, which is an odd development, but could potentially have to do with off-road capability.
The new Touareg will be based on the same platform as the Q7 and the Porsche Cayenne, which is lighter than the current Touareg’s, which would suggest that the new model will be lighter than the outgoer.
As ever, European buyers can expect a range of diesel, gas, and hybrid drive-trains, while Americans should only expect the latter two.
