Lamborghini Urus Spotted Testing

The legends are true, the fabled Lamborghini Urus exists and we have an early shot of the pre-production Urus testing in Norway.

The pictures were submitted by a fan, so only two are available, but from them it’s plain to see that the Urus looks a lot like the concept that first debuted in 2012. All sharp lines and wicked angles, the Urus is true to Lamborghini’s design aesthetic.

Lamborghini will reportedly begin production on the Urus in April of 2017, so it should hit showrooms in early 2018. When it does, it will be built on the same platform as the Audi Q7 and will initially come with 4.0-liter twin turbo V8, that we already know from the Audi RS7, and eventually with a hybrid powertrain.

More 3.0-Liter TDI Settlement Details Expected by January 31

Volkswagen and the TDI Plaintiff’s Steering Committee were in court today for another status conference following the agreement in principal reached earlier this week. Little new information was given at the conference held before Judge Charles Breyer today, but the court ordered the parties to develop a formal settlement agreement, class action notices, and a class notice plan by January 31, 2017. For now, though, owners still don’t know how much to expect in compensation. Elizabeth Cabraser, lead Counsel for the Plaintiff’s Steering Committee reaffirmed in a statement today that the compensation would be “substantial.” The potential cost to Volkswagen is widely reported to exceed $1 billion, though, with an additional $225 million going into an environmental trust to help offset excess emissions.
