Many people claim that Lamborghini design cars like a five-year-olds would. These people are wrong. If five-year-olds were to design cars, they’d probably look more like these bosozoku-style cars that YouTuber effspot found in a parking garage in Tokyo.
Bosozoku is a style that started in Japanese gangs but has bled out into the wider world of Japanese car culture. Basically cars and bikes are modified to look as wild as possible (there’s a whole fascinating history of influences and styles that you can find out about here).
Naturally, if you want your car to get as much attention as possible, you’re going to start out with a Lamborghini. But you can’t stop there. The cars featured in the above video run the gamut from the fairly familiar flat-black-and-lowered to the seldom seen rhinestone and leopard print variety.
Seriously, the cars are worth looking at just because of how different they are from what we see here. Some may find these offensive, but Lamborghinis have a rich history of personalization, and to my eye, these cars fit right into that. At any rate, surely no one buys a Lamborghini because they want to blend in.
