Sure, the Golf R is fast and fun and understated and practical and handsome and exciting and pretty much perfect, but does it do a powerslide?

Yes. Yes it does.

This video appears to be from Japan and it looks like it might even be a Volkswagen event. Two Golf Rs run through a twisty autocross course that allows the back end of the four-wheel-drive Golf to come unstuck, giving everyone a chance to indulge in what Randy Pobst calls the party drug of driving: oversteer.

When we last left you, the humble little SportWagen was fresh from the development process with our friends at AWE Tuning, sporting a new downpipe, exhaust and intake, allowing things to breathe a bit easier.
