Hero Driver Finally Revs the Chiron

Despite countless videos and photos of the car, we haven’t heard the new Bugatti Chiron very much. Well, now we know what it sounds like thanks to a hero driver who finally revved the thing on camera.

Supercars of Austria shot this video on a cold day in Vienna. It features a cold start of the Chiron and some hard revs and every single detail contained in its six minute running time is perfect.

First of all, the man driving it is wearing white gloves, like he’s handling an ancient manuscript.

And then there’s the engine, which revs quickly and loudly and sounds like an angry tiger.

Then there’s the steam that rises from its engine bay like a hot spring.

And then there’s just that it looks like something out of a Jules Verne novel.

Yes, the Chiron is a very special car indeed.

PZM 73rd Rally Poland Kicks Off

The WRC is in Poland and after only one stage there are three Volkswagens in the top five. Today’s special stage at the Mikolajki Arena is the first stage, but the rally doesn’t begin in earnest until Friday. Today’s super special stage was less than two minutes long, and less than a second separates the top five drivers. Hyundai Motorsport’s Thierry Neuville tops the charts today, followed closely by Volkswagen’s Andreas Mikkelsen. Sebastien Ogier and Jari-Matti Latvala are in fourth and fifth, respectively. Expect Ogier to climb the rankings, though. Not only did he win the rally last year, he has won every year since 2013.
