APR Greece Reveals Beautiful New Scirocco GT24

Greece has given the world many gifts. Democracy, the Olympics, and salty cheese are only a few, but so far they’ve been conspicuously absent from the world of cars. It’s a mystery as to why, and the mystery only deepens when you see this gorgeous Scirocco GT24 from APR’s Greek offices.

APR Greece has been around for four years now, and just yesterday they released the first images of their latest project: the Scirocco GT24, which they’ve been working on since last November.

From the first glance you know this is going to be special. It’s rocking big Vossen CV7s that match the grey and red color scheme. It has a carbon body kit as well as aggressive spoilers front and back, not to mention a whole host of other great details.

Where the car is perhaps most beautiful, though, is inside. It’s been stripped of any fat, given a roll cage, and fitted with racing seats.

Under the skin, the highlights include APR’s intercooler, a stage two intake, a cast downpipe, and most excitingly, APR’s K04 ECU. In all, the Scirocco boasts 377hp and 516 Nm (380 lb ft).

So bust out your English to Greek dictionary say ο συγγραφέας είναι ένας όμορφος ιδιοφυΐα, because this beautiful car deserves to be seen in person.

Project SportWagen: Going Stage 2 with APR

    When we last left you, the humble little SportWagen was fresh from the development process with our friends at AWE Tuning, sporting a new downpipe, exhaust and intake, allowing things to breathe a bit easier.  The car sounded great, but there was no getting around the fact that our wagon was still quite, well, slow.   While we realize that nothing we do to the Golf SportWagen at this point will make it a race car, we still felt compelled to do something .  To put it bluntly, we had a fever, and the only cure was more power. Event Report: Southern Worthersee 2015

There’s been much ado about this year’s SoWo since this past Saturday night, when Instagram, Facebook and other Social Media channels exploded with images and commentary focusing on the event’s bad eggs.  But first, let’s chat a bit about the event itself. Our journey started early Thursday morning as part of the Orchid Euro/Coolwater cruise to the event.  What should have taken about 12-13 hours ended up taking much more, as we stopped to help any Volkswagen that needed our assistance.  And while the extended commute time wasn’t ideal, it proved to highlight the ‘no person left behind’ spirit of the Volkswagen community- arguably one of the scene’s best qualities.
