The Volkswagen Arteon is the highest scoring executive vehicle for pedestrian safety, says Europe’s safety organization, Euro NCAP.
The sleek new sedan not only rocked the pedestrian safety testing, though, it was an all-around brilliant performance from the newly quintuple starred VW.
In adult and child occupant safety, the Arteon scored well, with a 96% and 85% score respectively. Meanwhile, its scores in both pedestrian protection and safety assist systems were both exemplary.
That’s thanks in no small part to the standard emergency braking function, Front Assist, Lane Assist, and more. On top of that, though, the Arteon is intelligently designed with crash structures, headrests designed to minimize whiplash, and seat belts that are well placed.
Altogether, it makes for a “gran turismo,” as VW calls it, that’s as easy on the eyes as it is on the human body.
