Sidney Industries Widebody GTI Coming to Essen

Over the past few years, aggressively flared bodykits have come into their own, spurred on in part by the stance scene and the ever-increasing popularity of JDM tuning styles. More recently, the treatment has been applied heavily to Porsche models by Rauh Welt, Scion FR-S/Toyota BRZ by Rocket Bunny, and most everything else by Liberty Walk. But for this year’s Essen Motor Show, Sidney Industries will be porting this style to the Mk7 GTI, and we must admit it looks quite good.

Using lines reminiscent of those found on the Renault R5 Turbo, mixed with something straight out of the BTCC, this GTI certainly will turn heads in Germany at the end of November.

2018 Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster Review

PZM 73rd Rally Poland Kicks Off

The WRC is in Poland and after only one stage there are three Volkswagens in the top five. Today’s special stage at the Mikolajki Arena is the first stage, but the rally doesn’t begin in earnest until Friday. Today’s super special stage was less than two minutes long, and less than a second separates the top five drivers. Hyundai Motorsport’s Thierry Neuville tops the charts today, followed closely by Volkswagen’s Andreas Mikkelsen. Sebastien Ogier and Jari-Matti Latvala are in fourth and fifth, respectively. Expect Ogier to climb the rankings, though. Not only did he win the rally last year, he has won every year since 2013.
