MAN-based RV is $900,000 of Unchecked Aggression

Sometimes it’s easy to forget just how far the Volkswagen Group’s reach is. Part of Volkswagen Truck and Bus GmbH, the MAN brand has made its name as one of the most popular haulers in Europe, and as such they’re quite popular to use as bases for dump trucks, garbage trucks, and even RVs. Austria-based Action Mobil has clearly seen the potential in these trucks as well, taking one of their six-wheeled trucks and making quite possibly the most rugged RV that we’ve ever seen.

So what exactly do you get for nearly a million dollars? Well, there’s 23 square feet of living space, a washer, a dryer, a kitchenette, satellite television, and all the comforts of home. What you’re really paying for is the go-anywhere capability of the truck. Massive off-road tires, a hydraulic lift system for your motorcycle, rugged side-mounted storage pods, and a lithium-ion energy system all ensure that you’re never left stranded. PZM 73rd Rally Poland Kicks Off

The WRC is in Poland and after only one stage there are three Volkswagens in the top five. Today’s special stage at the Mikolajki Arena is the first stage, but the rally doesn’t begin in earnest until Friday. Today’s super special stage was less than two minutes long, and less than a second separates the top five drivers. Hyundai Motorsport’s Thierry Neuville tops the charts today, followed closely by Volkswagen’s Andreas Mikkelsen. Sebastien Ogier and Jari-Matti Latvala are in fourth and fifth, respectively. Expect Ogier to climb the rankings, though. Not only did he win the rally last year, he has won every year since 2013.
