Shanghai 2015: Volkswagen Group Night Video and Gallery Now Live

When it comes to world auto shows, AutoShanghai may just be the Chinese equivalent of the Frankfurt IAA. Likely the largest for the Chinese market, now the world’s largest car market, this event happens but once every two years (also just like Frankfurt). Alas, we didn’t attend but we’ve assembled a collection of photos and videos of Volkswagen’s presence at the show for your viewing pleasure.

Like all of the major market motor shows, the Volkswagen Group kicked off AutoShanghai with an off-site Volkswagen Group Night reveal. Traditionally held the night before the first press day, this event is always a good opportunity for the Volkswagen Group to highlight reveals from its entire portfolio of brands including Audi, Lamborghini and Ducati.

If you’re like us, then you weren’t in Shanghai. We can all lament that fact, but we can also attend vicariously via YouTube. The Volkswagen Group has uploaded a video of their Group Night presentations online and we’ve embedded the nearly hour-and-a-half video below for your viewing pleasure.

2018 Lamborghini Aventador S Roadster Review

PZM 73rd Rally Poland Kicks Off

The WRC is in Poland and after only one stage there are three Volkswagens in the top five. Today’s special stage at the Mikolajki Arena is the first stage, but the rally doesn’t begin in earnest until Friday. Today’s super special stage was less than two minutes long, and less than a second separates the top five drivers. Hyundai Motorsport’s Thierry Neuville tops the charts today, followed closely by Volkswagen’s Andreas Mikkelsen. Sebastien Ogier and Jari-Matti Latvala are in fourth and fifth, respectively. Expect Ogier to climb the rankings, though. Not only did he win the rally last year, he has won every year since 2013.
