Worthersee 2014 Photo Gallery: Day 6

With the first weekend having arrived, our UK contributor Si Gray reports that the number of people on location in Worthersee has exploded. According to Si, he’s “never seen it so busy”… and we’re still over a week away from the main days. Activity at the petrol station was still strong at 1AM when he returned to his lodging.

Look through these photos and you’ll notice the constant addition of new cars. One of the more interesting new additions to the coverage is this matte red C6 A6 Avant with C7 RS 6 design front fascia. While we’re not a fan of Mercedes-Benz wheels, the bumpers make us wonder if there’s a new C6 body kit available or perhaps the owner is just exceptionally skilled in creating his own custom look.

PZM 73rd Rally Poland Kicks Off

The WRC is in Poland and after only one stage there are three Volkswagens in the top five. Today’s special stage at the Mikolajki Arena is the first stage, but the rally doesn’t begin in earnest until Friday. Today’s super special stage was less than two minutes long, and less than a second separates the top five drivers. Hyundai Motorsport’s Thierry Neuville tops the charts today, followed closely by Volkswagen’s Andreas Mikkelsen. Sebastien Ogier and Jari-Matti Latvala are in fourth and fifth, respectively. Expect Ogier to climb the rankings, though. Not only did he win the rally last year, he has won every year since 2013.
