Bugatti’s latest speed machine, the Chiron, has finally made its way into customer’s hands.
The three cars rolled out of Bugatti’s headquarters in Molsheim, France, heading to new owners in Europe and the Middle East. Each of the 50 team members that are involved in building the cars were there to see them off.
A total of 70 Chirons are planned for production this year with each carrying a price tag of at least $2.4 million euros ($2.5 million USD).
The Chiron uses a quad-turbocharged 8.0-liter W16 that pumps out an astonishing 1,500 horsepower and 1,180 lb-ft of torque, available between 2,000 and 6,000 rpm. Top speed is limited to 420 km/h, about 261 miles an hour, though when the restrictor is lifted for a real top speed run, it’s anticipated that the Chiron will be even faster.
